In a very casual manner we say – We were enslaved by British for 200 years. This is what has been taught in schools and remains in public discourse. But, reading the history we can see that we in continuous state of war with British for 200 years and finally we won.
See the list of wars (shared below) and apart from these too there were many battles fought. Also, millions of our freedom fighters sacrificed their life in individual capacity to throw British out of Bharat and free our mother-land.
